Mauritanian Refugee Returns to Her Village
Posted February 21st, 2008 by aaronAfter nearly 20 years in exile in Senegal, thousands of Mauritanian refugees are returning to their home country. Recently elected President Sidi Ould Cheikh Abdallahi has promised to help refugees return to the country as quickly as possible.
The over 40 leaders from Muslim countries meeting in Dakar, Senegal wrapped a two-day summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) last Friday.
