It seems that Iran's involvement in Iraq has declined since the capture of a few dozen Iranian operatives selling arms in Iraq in December of 2006. The Bush Administration continues to assert that Iran is meddling in Iraqi political affairs, in particular with the Shiite soldiers, but has had difficult backing up these claims with evidence.

While Iran continues to ship arms to Iraq, it is not clear if shipments have increased or decreased significantly in the past year. U.S. officials say that they can prove that Iran has intensified its military training inside Iran.
